  • Responsible for maintenance of the general ledger, working collaboratively with senior accounting staff and management to reconcile financial data as well as to execute financial tasks and processes.
  • This position will provide support in improving efficiencies to better service internal & external stakeholders, and efforts on behalf of Finance & Operations to improve operational and financial results in support of overall goals and initiatives.
  • Reviews department contracts with the respective coordinators, decides what expenses need to be recorded in the general ledger according to policy and scalable spend behavior
  • Challenges information to detect compliance issues
  • Analyzes operating expense and provides recommendations for cost efficiencies as well as recommendations to improve mitigation of compliance risk
  • Speaks on monthly deviations from budget and previous periods for month end close meetings
  • Generates and monitors Key Performance Financial Indicators related to business area marketing operating expense; performs monthly budget to actual variance analysis for central and business areas marketing investment
  • Trains employees on properly submitting committed costs; for accrual-basis and actual costs
  • Audits approvals of invoices and process for payment
  • Liaises with each department for procurement-to-pay SOX Compliant procedures and reporting
  • Prepares journal entries
  • Processes Accounts Payable for US and Canada
  • Handles Cash Receipts for North America
  • Assists in Corporate Card Reconciliation
  • Assists in month end close (accruals and other financial reporting supporting schedules)
  • Assists with account reconciliations and analysis
  • Bank Reconciliation Maintenance, ensuring proper clearing of AP transactions
  • Tax monitoring
  • Data entry into finance system
  • Ad hoc reporting / projects as needed




  • BS Degree
  • 1+ year experience in a general accounting environment
  • Must be self-motivated, lead with strong work ethic, capable of taking initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing priorities, and effectively manage deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and have strong rapport with the management team and colleagues
