Accounts Payable/Payroll Specialist
Waterbury, CT

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Maintain with timeliness & accuracy all payroll related files & fields in ADP Payroll module (garnishments, deductions such as AFLAC & retirement, deposits, 401K compliance codes), verify HR batch payroll & transmit Payroll data to ADP Payroll service.
  • Prepare & reconcile reports for all payroll deductions , including but not limited to; monthly EE Deduction Analysis, biweekly EE voluntary ING contribution e-submission, monthly AFLAC EE voluntary premium e-submission & yearly AFLAC EE analysis to GL clearing account. Notify Accounting Manager of any discrepancy.
  • Prepare and issue monthly Overtime Report 
  • Quarterly analysis & reconciliation of payroll data to Form 941 to general ledger in a timely & accurate manner. Notify Accounting Manager & CFO of any discrepancy.
  • Handle all Petty Cash reconciliations
  • Check any discrepancies between purchase orders and packing slips
  • In an accurate & timely manner process & post approved invoices daily to Accounts Payable
  • Prepare check and ACH run on a weekly basis
  • Reconciliation of Accounts Payable reports to General Ledger prior to month-end.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Associate’s Degree & 3 years’ experience in an Accounting related position of which 3yrs in Payroll.
  • Attention to detail & the ability to work independently, effectively & as a team member.
  • Prior ADP Experience a big plus as well
