Job Description

• Minimum of 2 years in a professional office setting.
• Demonstrated management and leadership skills in an academic environment.
• Must be highly organized and self-directed with the ability to work as a leader and a team member.
• Must have excellent customer services skills.
• Computer literacy requirements include strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment including MS Word, Excel, Access, and the ability to learn new systems independently.
• Requires strong and proven organizational and oral and written communications skills.
Provide assistance to the department Chair, including but not limited to: • Coordinating scheduling and meetings;
• Drafting communications, daily correspondence, and special messages for the Chair; • Facilitating all activities of departmental tenure and promotion activities; • Coordinating all faculty and staff search logistics and scheduling and provide assistance in completing HR paperwork for department personnel, including but not limited to visiting scholars, part-time employees, etc.
