Administrative Coordinator
Boston, MA

  • Provide assistance to the department Chair, including but not limited to:
  • Coordinating and scheduling meetings
  • Drafting communications, daily correspondence, and special messages for the Chair
  • Facilitating all activities of departmental tenure and promotion activities
  • Coordinating all faculty and staff search logistics and scheduling and provide assistance in completing HR paperwork for department personnel, including but not limited to visiting scholars, part-time employees, etc.
  • Coordinating departmental report production; facilitate student paperwork and degree completion; facilitate all teaching evaluations and grade reports
  • Take on special projects as needed to support Chair and the Bioengineering program
  • A Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years in a professional office setting
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills in an academic environment
  • Must be highly organized and self-directed with the ability to work as a leader and a team member
  • Must have excellent customer services skills
  • Computer literacy requirements include strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment including MS Word, Excel, Access, and the ability to learn new systems independently
  • Requires strong and proven organizational and oral and written communications skills
