Business Development Rep

Responsibilities:

  • Generates new business opportunities by outbound phone prospecting.
  • Qualify prospects over the phone using established criteria, and pass opportunities to sales
  • Maintain and update an accurate log of activity in the CRM
  • Work continually towards self-development, including ongoing and current knowledge of customer service sales procedures and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for prospects to learn more about our solutions by asking leading questions
  • Act as a conduit between marketing, sales, and customers or prospects, answering questions and directing customers as appropriate to the correct resource within the organization.
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly metrics with volume and quality of leads generated.
  • Performs other duties upon request

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in prospecting businesses to generate revenue and promote the company is a plus but not required
  • Experience in sales, technology and/or telecom industry is preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated success in a corporate, business-to-business sales/selling environment
  • Ability to organize own workload with excellent time-management skills
  • Ability to initiate high-level interactive business conversations with key decision makers
  • Track record of success in tele-prospecting/telemarketing.
  • Team player who enjoys the challenge of obtaining new leads
  • Ability to identify and develop strategies to overcome obstacles in the decision-making process
  • Highly motivated, driven and results oriented, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
