Job Description

Dining Services Supervisor need to fill an immediate opening at a Providence University. This is a temporary position, expected to last at least three months, offering full time week day and weekend hours.

Pay: $19/hour

Hours: 7:00 AM -7:00 PM (some weekends and nights are required)

This position is responsible for supervising employees in residential dining hall. Additional duties include:

-Check in staff and cover shortages as necessary; train, direct, and coach ass stall within assigned areas

-Ensure adherence to state and federal food safety guidelines; consistently uphold policies and practices

-Circulate throughout serving and dining areas and observe all aspects of service, product quality, and availability

-Assist in merchandising/displaying products and offerings available in unit

-Assist with inventory control; assist with control of food and labor cost

-Ensure security of food, equipment and supplies

-Ensure control of door access; maintain security of dining room and/or building

-Open/close dining facilities at beginning or end of day


-Degree in Hotel, Restaurant & Institutional Management, Food Service Management or related

-Minimum two years' supervisory experience in a food service operation

-Strong customer service skills

-Demonstrates high standards of quality & sanitation

-Sensitivity to a diverse customer population
