Purchasing / Item Master Coordinator
Boston, MA


  • Create and modify items efficiently in SAP
  • Resolve any issues relative to the information provided for item creation and system constraints
  • Assist in defining and refining the item creation process
  • Work with business units and process experts to resolve master data issues and support the business with required procedures as needed
  • Coordinate master data setup, validations and periodic maintenance
  • Perform regular business-related activities including: Enter new items as requested, Maintain and create accurate item information
  • Perform mass updates/Bill of materials as needed
  • Have a strong understanding of company processes and policies surrounding item setup and maintenance, and routinely apply that knowledge
  • Conduct research and root cause analysis to solve product and supplier maintenance process issues
  • Coordinate collection of information from cross functional business owners for the accurate establishment of SKU information
  • Participate as subject matter expert in system enhancement initiatives
  • Be able to perform all above tasks with minimal direct supervision, an eye for detail, and a can-serve attitude



  • Requires Bachelor’s degree
  • ERP experience - SAP or SAP Business One experience desirable
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience using recognized ERP item master systems
  • Worked with cross functional department on information and approvals needed
  • Demonstrated capabilities of internal partnering, cross cultural communication and getting things done
  • Experience with New Product introductions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and the proven ability to communicate effectively
