Medical Customer Service
Worcester, MA
15/hr

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for assisting the patient in obtaining access to health care.
  • Check-in and check-out patients for their primary care appointments. 
  • Makes confirmation calls
  • Schedules patient appointments
  • Processes schedule changes
  • Maintains alert codes
  • Schedules outside appointments not requiring an authorization
  • Updates demographic and insurance information for each visit

Experience:

  • Must have a high degree of professionalism and excellent customer service skills. 
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with medical terminology, health insurance, on-line database/insurance verification preferred. 
  • Must have demonstrated computer skills, including data entry, navigation in a Windows environment, and with MS Outlook. 
  • One year relevant experience required; experience in a medical/healthcare environment preferred.  
  • Professional telephone etiquette, strong customer service skills required. 
  • Must be bilingual in English/Spanish
