Patient Services Associate
Andover, MA

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Following a prescribed list of questions/scripts and providing standardized responses to get and give information during scheduling, pre-registration, and reminder calls to patients for services such as MRI/PET/CT scan appointments.
  • Ensuring the gathering of accurate and complete patient data required to complete the scheduling process and any specific information required by a customer facility.
  • Entering all information into the applicable computer system in accordance with documented work processes.
  • Determining customers’ needs based on incoming calls; transferring callers to appropriate staff; escalating calls as necessary to Patient Services Supervisor or Patient Services Lead as appropriate

Position Requirements:

  • Experience working in a Healthcare environment & general understanding of Medical Terminology
  • Customer service experience; prior experience working within a call center setting ideal
  • Prior experience or comfort working in a metrics environments that evaluates performance i.e. talk time, number of calls made/taken, quality of calls, ability to read from script..etc
  • Sensitivity, mindfulness and patience when speaking to patients  
  • A positive working demeanor with a friendly/helpful approach to work
  • Knowledge of general office equipment & strong computer skills
  • Ability to multi-task (talking, typing and toggling between browsers simultaneously)
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment to reach a common goal
