Payroll Specialist
Boston, MA


  • Prepares each payroll accurately input into payroll system
  • Reviews pay register for accuracy and completeness prior to transmittal
  • Respond to payroll related questions and employment verifications
  • Assist in employee on boarding, transfer and termination processes
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all payroll related inquiries
  • Oversee time-card process, garnishments and changes to taxes & other benefits
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationship with corporate accounting
  • Support HR initiatives, as needed
  • Reports directly to HR Generalist
  • Responsible for processing weekly/bi-weekly payroll pay for multiple pay groups


  • Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience preferred
  • Prior experience with automated payroll system required
  • Possesses effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Is well organized and extremely detail oriented
  • College degree strongly preferred
  • Ability to maintains strict employee confidentiality.
  • Have a team-oriented and "roll up your sleeves" attitude
  • Able to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Meets deadlines, prioritizes assignments, and multi-tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer aptitude with high proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Have a professional demeanor, strong work ethic and maturity to complete assigned tasks
