Sr Financial Analyst
Boston, MA

  •  Presents financial data to Operations Managers and Directors to for their use at the beginning of the budget cycle and throughout the budget process.
  • Analyzes all FTE budgets by job code for the departments to ensure all positions are within the authorized complement for the Position Control.
  • Prepares analyses to identify major budget variances and meets with physician corporation administrative managers to assist in explaining reasons for variances.
  • Develops PC based financial models to enhance budgeting process and analyses.
  • Maintains all general ledger financial reports including balance sheets, trial balances, revenues and expense and chart of accounts. Codes and tests custom reports as requested.
  • Works closely with Accounting and Patient Financial Services areas to generate statistical and financial analyses within tight time constraints.
  • Responds to ad hoc financial analyses, special projects, and other similar or related duties as required or directed.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • 3+  years of related analyst experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • Self-directed to prioritize duties and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Need to demonstrate high degree of judgment and be able to make sound independent decisions.
  • High level of analytic and quantitative skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills essential.
  • Need to be able to work independently with minimal supervision and handle confidential information with high level of discretion.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of computer competency requiring spreadsheet and database software required. Proficiency with Excel essential; knowledge of Informatics Access, Lawson or Budget Advisor a plus.
