Talent Acquisition Specialist
Fairhaven, MA


  • Responsible to recruit, screen and place candidates for open requisitions and to create a talent pipeline for strategic classifications through the utilization of recruiting tools, internet job posting boards, social media and database search, while maintaining compliance with Federal & State requirements; Company’s affirmative action plans and Diversity recruiting objectives.
  • Consults hiring managers on strategies for talent acquisition, market trends and compensation packages.
  • Ensure that all candidates are treated professionally and respectfully through the application process.  
  • Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies.
  • Conduct talent search through resume databases, networking, college recruiting efforts, recruiting firms, internet recruiting resources, and etc. 
  • Schedule candidates for interviews with respective hiring managers and staff.
  • Maintain accurate and timely entry into HRIS system of all candidate related activities & information to ensure accuracy and compliance with Federal and state agencies and Affirmative Action.
  • Communicate and collaborate with respective managers regarding staffing needs assessment, development of internal and external job postings, talent acquisition strategies, and candidate assessments.
  • Represent the Company at various recruiting events such as job fairs, diversity career expos, college recruiting, and local state agency recruiting events.
  • Conduct new employee on-boarding activities and conduct post hire follow up interviews.   


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business or related field is required.
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written;
  • Demonstrated experience in recruiting, social media skills and interviewing are essential.
  • Prior experience with HRIS system and strong computer skills including excel are strongly preferred.
  • 2-5 years in Human Resources role with an emphasis on staffing is required.  
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and ability to travel domestically.
  • Ability to stand for long period of time at recruiting events.
  • Social media skills, computer skills including powerpoint and excel, HRIS system knowledge.
